After her mother is slain by Imperial Officer Victor Fuji, Claire Sutton is raised by Master Lane of the Lane Troupe. Years later, as Imperial Forces seize Meadow County, she performs for the enemy to shield her people. The troupe answers oppression with a final act, sacrificing themselves in a blaze of courage and honor.
