Ben Carter works hard to buy a house for his daughter. His wife Vera, influenced by her family, lends her boss's luxury car to her brother Tony. This leads to betrayal, stolen money, a ruined career, and lost property. Tony frames Ben, who then fights for his rights. Vera loses all and is refused when she begs to reconcile.
